Do we need witnesses there?
Yes, in the province of Alberta, elopements typically require two witnesses to make the marriage legally valid. If you don't have witnesses available, don't worry; we've got you covered. Edmonton Elopements can provide witnesses for your special day, ensuring that all legal requirements are met, and you can focus on celebrating your love without any concerns.
How do we obtain a marriage license?
We'll provide you with clear instructions on how to obtain your marriage license, including any necessary documentation and where to apply.
Can we use our own vendors?
Absolutely! We want your elopement to reflect your unique vision and preferences. If you have specific vendors in mind, you are more than welcome to bring them onboard for your elopement.
How far in advance should we plan our elopement?
While more time for planning is preferred to ensure every detail aligns perfectly with your vision, we understand that elopements can be spontaneous. We're here to help, and we can assist you in creating a beautiful elopement even if your set date is just a week away.
What is your role as an elopement planner on the day?
I handle all the behind-the-scenes work so you can fully enjoy your day. This includes preparing all necessary paperwork, obtaining permits, coordinating with vendors, and being available throughout the day to ensure everything goes smoothly.
How many guests can attend?
Depending on the location you choose, elopements can accommodate a range of guests, from an intimate gathering of 10 to a larger celebration with up to 50 people. We'll work closely with you to select a location that suits your guest count and preferences.
What happens if it rains?
We've got you covered, quite literally! We have backup locations in case of rain to ensure your elopement can proceed smoothly. Elopements go ahead rain or shine and it can add its own unique charm to your special day.

What does the mini videography entail?
Our mini videography is a unique offer designed to capture the magic of your elopement in motion. You can choose between at least one minute of professional videography or a 90-second reel for your Instagram. The best part? The reel will be ready on the very day of your elopement, allowing you to share the amazing news with your family and friends on your social media page, creating an instant and memorable announcement of your special day.
Do you supply chairs and/or an arch?
If you'd like to add an arch or chairs to your ceremony, we can arrange for a rental to enhance the ambiance and create a beautiful backdrop for your special moment.
How many photos will we receive?
Our photographer will deliver an unlimited number of photos, capturing all the beautiful moments of your elopement. You can expect a minimum of 75 photos, ensuring that every cherished memory is preserved in stunning detail.
